The young Indra has always been a bit reckless and never seemed to think through the consequences of his actions. He would frequently get caught in the act of making mischief, but he had a knack for talking his way out of trouble. Indra had a love of nature, and spent many days wandering through the craggy forested hills of his homeland. He would chase (and be chased) by the local fauna, and had more than once a close scrape with large predators.
His obsession with lightning, a power that runs strongly in his family’s line, was the main reason for Indra leaving his family. Hungry for new knowledge about lightning and in search of new practical applications of it, he joined the Black Hand mercenary company, figuring it would permit him to see places he might not be able to go to on his own.
